Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

How many people can attend the party?
Up to 10 people may attend a 30-minute session so that everyone gets a chance to enjoy the kittens. If more than 10 people would like to attend, please submit multiple requests for consecutive sessions.

What type of space is required?
A fully enclosed and clutter-free room with lots of open floor space is best so that participants can sit on the floor and interact with kittens.  Conference rooms without tables and chairs are ideal because they typically do not have too many hiding places for kittens. But any office space that is fully enclosed and relatively clutter-free would work.

How long is the party?
Kittens love to play, but they also need their naps. Therefore, parties last about 3o minutes.

Do you offer parties in the evenings or on weekends?
Due to limited staff and volunteer availability, we are only able to accommodate parties on weekdays, Wednesday-Friday, between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.

What geographic area do you cover?
Currently, we are able to offer parties in the greater Watertown, WI area. Long car rides can be stressful for the kittens, and we want to be sure they are refreshed, alert, and ready to play!

Why is a donation required?
A monetary donation for the Watertown Humane Society will be given to our WHS Kitten Cuddle Ambassador upon their arrival at your facility or organization on the day of the scheduled party. The donation covers transportation to and from your office or organization, and it provides continued support in our efforts to save more lives. As a nonprofit organization, we are always in need of funds to help with medical bills, food, and supplies for our shelter animals. This small donation in exchange for such a unique and enjoyable experience will go a long way in helping our shelter rescue more animals in the future!

Can we request a specific kitten for you to bring?
Depending on the date of your party, our staff will select the healthiest, most playful kittens to join your group. We will also bring a variety of toys for you to interact with them. Any specific requests will be considered on an individual basis.

Are the kittens available for adoption?
Yes! Anyone interested in adopting any of our kittens can fill out our cat adoption questionnaire here.

Can you come to my child's birthday party?
Due to the unpredictable nature of kittens (and sometimes children), we currently only offer this program for adults at local businesses, organizations, or colleges with office space.
